SAAM New Media projects have just won two MUSE awards from the American Association of Museums. The MUSE awards recognize excellence in the use of media and technology in museums.

Our Luce Center Web site and kiosks won gold in the Extended Experience category, and our interactive art mystery Web site for kids, Meet Me at Midnight, won bronze in the Games category.

Staffers Georgina Bath and Tiffany Farrell were on hand in Chicago to accept the awards.

Those of you who follow the Webbies also know that we also won a Webby Honors award for our bilingual Latino art site, ¡del Corazón!.

Other Smithsonian sites have been recognized recently too. Congratulations to our colleagues at the National Museum of the American Indian and the National Postal Museum for their MUSE awards, to the Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies for their Webbies, and to the Smithsonian Photography Initiative for their Webby and South by Southwest wins.
