FAQs about visiting "No Spectators: The Art Of Burning Man" at the Renwick Gallery

1. Do I need a ticket? Do I need to pay an admission fee?
No, you do not need a ticket, and admission is free.

2. Is food and drink allowed in the exhibitions?
No, food and drink are not allowed in the building.

3. Can I take photos?
Yes, we encourage visitors to take photos and post to social media using the hashtags #NoSpectators #RenwickGallery. Photography and video for personal use is permitted. No tripods are allowed. Commercial photography must be pre-arranged with the museum’s Office of Public Affairs. For more information, please see the Press Room.

4. How long will I have to wait in line?
Wait time can vary, but Friday through Sunday and holidays generally have much longer lines for entry.  The quietest time to come is around our 10:00 a.m. opening hours, on Monday through Thursday.

5. Are there tours?
There will be no regularly scheduled tours, but docents will be available to answer questions.

6. Is there a secure room for bags and coats?
No, large bags are not allowed in the galleries, so please plan accordingly. Security officers may ask visitors to hand-carry backpacks, or wear them on the front. A security check is required at the door. There are no lockers at the Renwick Gallery.

7. Can I bring a stroller?
Strollers are not permitted inside the galleries on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, and so will need to be left outside. On those days, stroller parking is available at the 17th street accessible entrance.

8. What parking is available in the area?
There is limited on-street parking at meters, but several parking garages are available in the neighborhood. More information can be found on the Golden Triangle Neighborhood Parking Map.

9. Can I bring my bicycle?

10. Is there a café inside the Renwick?
No, but there are many places to eat within walking distance to the gallery.

11. Where can I find more information about holding an event at the Renwick?
