SAAM's collaboration with Smithsonian Digital Studio has won a regional Emmy from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter. The award-winning video took home top honors in the Arts & Entertainment (Short Form) category. The star of the show? The butter cow from our recent exhibition, State Fairs: Growing American Craft.

To bring this unique tradition to life, Sarah Pratt—the official butter sculptor of the Iowa State Fair—joined forces with her daughters, Hannah and Grace, to sculpt the masterpiece entirely on-site at the Renwick Gallery

This Emmy-winning project is just the latest addition to SAAM’s digital lineup. From quick shorts to in-depth Meet-the-Artist features, our videos take you behind the scenes with today’s most influential artists, creators, and makers. Visit our YouTube channel and spread the word!
