Born in Washington, D.C., 1950. Currently resides in Somerville, Massachusetts. Bright has taught art and art history at the Rhode Island School of Design since 1989. An exhibition of her photgraphs, "Deborah Bright: Textual Landscapes," was held at University Art Museum, SUNY Binghamton, New York, in 1988. Her work was included in "Polemical Landscapes," California Museum of Photography, University of California, Riverside.
