Biography
Deborah Doane worked with both ceramics and glass before opening the Chatham Glass Company with then husband and fellow artist, James Holmes. They designed the works together, inspired by organic forms and their coastal environment. Holmes produced their designs using a blowpipe, while Doane managed the gallery. She has been a guest lecturer both domestically and internationally, and continues to create ceramic pieces of her own. Doane now resides in California.
