In anticipation of the exhibition 40 under 40: Craft Futures, on view at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum from July 20, 2012 -- February 3, 2013, the museum asked the 40 artists featured to share personal videos of themselves with our audience. Here's what Jeffrey Clancy submitted—enjoy! Jeffrey Clancy Social Media Video, 2012 Digital video, color, sound, 0:27 Courtesy of the artist
JEFFERY CLANCY: Hi everyone. My name is Jeffrey Clancy, and I’m one of the participants in the exhibition, “40 Under 40: Craft Futures” at the Renwick Gallery this summer. I’m excited to be part of this exhibition because as the title suggests, it speaks to craft’s limitlessness rather than its limitations.
It’s been great working with everyone at the Renwick Gallery. I’m excited to see the show, I’m excited to meet the other 39 artists, and it’s a real pleasure to be part of an exhibition of this caliber.
