Rebekah Laskin is best known for her innovative use of enamel in jewelry. She has taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Parsons School of Design, and is currently at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Laskin layers shimmering colors and delicate textures to create brooches that have been described as “miniature abstract paintings” (Susan Grant Lewin, One of a Kind: American Art Jewelry Today, 1994).
