Artwork Description
First inspired by a pottery demonstration at the 1939 World’s Fair in San Francisco, Harrison McIntosh studied ceramics on the GI Bill after World War II. By the 1950s McIntosh had gained a national reputation for his modernist geometric designs and won numerous awards at the California State Fair.
