Artwork Description

Mourning Station #11 is one of a series of works that remind us of ancient ritual objects, of religious mysteries from vanished civilizations. Veils of horsehair and feathers, draped over the frame of hawthorn wood and linen, conceal a stone suspended within. In this piece, Di Mare suggests a glimpse of the supernatural, but at the same time refuses to reveal it.
