Artwork Description

Georgia Blizzard often used religious imagery to decorate her pots, and the figures in Mind Boggling reflect her ideas about life after death. The winged figures around the neck of the piece suggest angels guarding the gateway to heaven. The floating people underneath evoke spirits, and the turmoil around the bottom may symbolize life on earth.
