Biography

Serge Yourievitch was once lord-in-waiting to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. A pupil of famed sculptor Auguste Rodin, Yourievitch created mostly garden and fountain pieces, and portraits of famous people, including Theodore Roosevelt. His wife, a writer and member of the Italian royal family, traveled to the Roosevelt White House to present the bust, and stayed there for two days with the first family.
