Artwork Description

Farraday Ayne Newsome creates brightly colored stoneware vessels that are bursting with fruits, flowers, and animals. Many of her designs were inspired by her childhood in rural California, where her mother ran a plant nursery and her father designed pottery. In this piece, the rich colors and bulbous shapes create a tempting fruit bowl, disguising the spout and handle of the teapot.
