Artwork Description

The Green Ring is a portrait of an unknown young lady. The artist painted the figure wearing simple clothing and muted colors to emphasize the sparkling jewels on her finger and ears. Conservation of this miniature was made possible through a generous grant provided by the Smithsonian Women’s Committee.
