Artwork Description

Ellen Goin Rionda was the wife of a wealthy sugarcane importer, whose philanthropy included a housing development on their estate for young married couples. Laura Dreyfus Barney caught the sitter at a moment when she gazes off to the side. It seems that something or someone has caught her attention, or perhaps she is deep in thought.
