Please join us for "Movies at SAAM's" winter season of films about American art and artists. If you enjoy learning about the creative process, history of African American photography, and contemplating the nature of great art, then you're sure to enjoy what we have in store for you.

To kick off this season, we will present three films on December 10. We'll be showing two experimental films, Visual Variations on Noguchi and The Face of Another, and the documentary, Isamu Noguchi. After the show, check out SAAM's new exhibition Isamu Noguchi, Archaic/Modern located on the first floor. These films will be presented in partnership with the Smithsonian's Freer|Sackler.

In honor of the newly opened National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), "Movies at SAAM" will show the award winning documentary about African American photography Through a Lens Darkly and a 16 minute short film from the UCLA Black Rebellion film festival Black Art, Black Artist on February 11. Join us after the show for an exclusive conversation with NMAAHC photography curator Aaron Bryant.

And on February 18, please join us for a screening of acclaimed director and actor Orson Welles' last film F is for Fake. Watch as Welles analyzes fakery and forgery in art and illusions.

We hope you will join us this winter for another exciting journey through art history. All movies begin at 3 p.m. and are screened in SAAM's McEvoy Auditorium. Seating is first come, first served. Hope to see you there!
