Artwork Description

Michael Shuler enjoys uncovering the hidden layers of growth within plants and trees. The pinecone and proteus were soaked in resin to form solid pieces that could be turned on a lathe. These tiny, delicate vessels reveal the beautiful proportions and surprising patterns found within familiar plant structures.
