Artwork Description

Jamie Bennett was one of a number of artists who revitalized and revolutionized traditional enameling techniques during the 1980s. He is known for his deep engagement with material and process and innovative use of opaque colors. By removing the visible metal supports normally found in enameling, he achieves a free-form, painterly effect resulting in an enameled surface rich with abstract, fragmented imagery.
