Workers putting the finishing touches on our awesome new Lord Norman Foster/Foster + Partners-designed Kogod Courtyard. This truly is a spectacular, one-of-a-kind space. The courtyard opens this Sunday, November 18th, with the Friends and Family Festival, sponsored by Target. We'll be live-blogging the event, so look for us wearing Eye Level buttons and say hi--we'd love to meet you! We're also starting a Flickr group, so bring your cameras.

The glossy rectangular shapes on the floor are an unusual water feature. A thin film of water flows slowly across a minuscule slope in the floor to create a shimmering, reflective surface that you can walk through.
