Artwork Description

For Dan Schmitt, sculpting is a highly personal experience, and anyone who uses his pots becomes a part of that process. The artist creates pottery that displays its handmade quality, and he hopes that others will feel a personal involvement and connection with the unique aspects of each piece. Schmitt uses the “white on white” style in this set, which allows him to focus his attention on the beauty of form rather than elaborate glazing.
