Rafael Soriano’s Un Lugar Distante (A Distant Place)

After migrating to Miami in 1962 in the wake of the Cuban Revolution, Soriano embarked on a new semiabstract visual vocabulary that helped him transform his feelings of nostalgia for home and country into a creative process of spiritual renewal.
